Cleanse the Contents of the Heart

You wish to bring your tongue under control:
It’s no use monitoring what you say
You’ll only tie yourself in mental knots
Approaching such a challenge in that way

Your tongue, your mannerisms, everything
In conversational delivery,
Will but reflect upon its subject that
Which genuinely you feel, think and see

Continue to perceive the negative
(Embroidered past belief) exclusively,
And thick embroidered negativity
Is what your eyes continue will to see

Oh, point me not to money, point me not
To cavernous interior or car,
Societal condonation — rather
Point to your need for perpetual war,

Unceasing denigration in your wit
No matter what for it the subject choose,
A constant calculation of the mind
(Whether by any moment “win” or “lose”)

Were you a modicum of good control
To bring your wild, unruly thoughts within,
You would discover, in and of itself,
The tongue reflect your truer Self begin

With no good heart connection anchor to,
No groundwork taken your trouble to lay,
Your baser habits simply take control
And with that tongue of yours just run away

If you genuinely desire to find
The method speech constructively to change
Forget your focus upon what you say —
Your thoughts and feelings you must rearrange

Forget the message that your honest tongue
Soulful dishonesty routine impart —
Examine of your lies what source there be
And cleanse the putrid contents of your heart

Homeless until removal of the stalker/targeter/vandal/arsonist following her allows her to approach any landlord ~ even for a private parking space ~ this poet presently lives under perpetual threat of towing with all possessions should her 23-year-old van stop running for any reason.

She is badly in need of a modest reserve with which to field any emergency which might occur.

Donors may visit http://www.UgiftABLE.com , using code #72D-31S. It does take several days for the poet to be notified of your patronage.

Thank you for reading, and may your holidays be happy ones.
