We’re sitting up in the 20° cold when we could be in our sleeping bags, listening alternately to auto-door percussion and tiny spooky transceiver squeaks and squawks around us in the darkness from a criminal who has remained completely immune to the law for…
(Wait ~ HOW long, now?)
… Three years, over 10,000 miles, and in three cities ~ committing every crime in the book, now including murder.
Hmmm...
What shall we write about?

What We Really Love
Here in the United States
We love a criminal,
Of killing and of torturing
Our entertainment’s full
Don’t give us any of that stupid
Poetic emotion
It doesn’t even catch our eye
Unless there’s an explosion!
“Drama” is, to us, no human
Deep emotion ~ ick!
That stuff’s over there
We call that a “girlie flick”!
Remember, we must get a glimpse
Of someone’s bra or panties
And as for all our heroes
Any more, they’re strictly “antis”
Oh, were we gifted with a once
In a generation poet?
Our eyeballs are so spiral
That we don’t even know it.
