It’s been the poet’s too-frequent misfortune to be dissed by those for whom she has likely just advocated because today she is also illuminating the point of view of someone they themselves refuse to consider acceptable.

Spoken For

I’ve spoken for the homeless
Spoken for the landlords, too
Spoken for our working poor
— I have spoken for you

Spoken for the wealthy
Spoken for police
Spoken for the freedoms
Which we must not release

Spoken for the businessman
Harassed and harried be
I’ve spoken for all of you —
Who will speak for me?

This poet is physically disabled.

Public housing being insufficient to her medical and creative needs, in order to continue working she is presently living in her minivan, publishing all of her works using one thumb on the touch screen of her smartphone and surviving at a fraction of her nation’s poverty level.

If her work has touched you, she would treasure any contribution you might be good enough to offer ~ http://www.UgiftABLE.com ● #72D-31S.

Please be aware that it takes several days for her to be notified of patronageThank you for caring.
