Monkeyshines
Don’t be a poet ~ for mainly
Embarrassing it be:
Struggling all of life along
The golden vision see
And just when on that ladder
Of consciousness gets to the top,
Monkey up and down its rungs
Expected is to hop
Rather keep serene and
Celestial company,
But back among the multitudes it
Finds bewildered self to be
Some think, given its natural
Peacefully retiring choice,
Never to the pathos
Of humanity would it give voice
However that may be,
This poet here would like to say:
If granted peace she promises
To give it voice anyway

This poet is physically disabled.
Public housing being insufficient to her medical and creative needs, in order to continue working she is presently living in her minivan, publishing all of her works using one thumb on the touch screen of her smartphone and surviving at a fraction of her nation’s poverty level.
If her work has touched you, she would treasure any contribution you might be good enough to offer ~ http://www.UgiftABLE.com ● #72D-31S.
Please be aware that it takes several days for her to be notified of patronage. Thank you for caring.
