Touring the Fifth Dimension

At a university
I marveled
At the quality
Of Light
Streaming across
Mosaiced floors
And over
Colorfully and
Diversifully clad
Students and teachers

(Everyone is a student here
As well as a teacher),

But noticed
Lowering grey clouds
Upon its horizon

“There are always storms
At the forward edge
Of learning,”
Commented my guide

Then, seeing
That this depressed me,
She added

“It is only that the old ground
Requires cleansing
And the new seeds
Watering

“Once that has occurred
The clouds have no more substance
And are disbursed —

“That is the nature
Of clouds”
