(For this poet, the flood of intuitive insight, incoming when meeting any fellow human being, is so overwhelming that in order to concentrate on what that person might be saying she is forced to break eye contact to listen)

Now Ye See
In ancient texts of wisdom
Each seeker deeply delves
Then comes the day when at long last
We see it for ourselves
No longer wobbly aiming
Widely off the mark
No longer looking through a glass
Smoky, dim and dark
Suddenly we realize
The wisdoms which illuminate
Humanity have been the same
Early, ever, long and late
So simple are the tenets
We internalize
Diligently practicing
One morning we just realize
The elders had the right of it
It super simple is
To live in heaven here and now
In agape bliss
It’s only necessary
To the self forget
And stand close to your brother
Close, and closer yet
Until it is effortlessly
To your great surprise
You find that you can see the world
Through that brother’s eyes
Then all the wisdom walking in
Every heart that be
So simply is available —
Were blind, but now ye see!
