(While living in Fort Bragg, California the poet could not publish this poem. That entire tiny remote town held any form of dancing to be right next to human sacrifice, and would have run her out as a witch.

Twenty first century. True.)

There’s Rock ‘n Roll in Heaven

There’s rock ‘n roll in heaven,
On it you may freely bet
Yes, my brother, they been groovin’
‘Bout as deep as that groove get
To whatever’s blazin’ hot, or I say
They ain’t been there yet

And sister, you tell anyone
You go ahead an’ just feel free
That if they find some limits handy
With which they can not-agree
With any little part of the Infinite
Divine wondrous All-That-Be,
You send that non-shakin’ ass
For straight up pep talk, right to me
