The Black Panthers began as a charity organization, distributing food and blankets to single moms. The guns originally came out in self defense.

Documents released ~ too late to do any good, of course ~ prove Hemingway to have been driven to his suicide largely by FBI surveillance. His friends thought he was paranoid.

Mother Jones was a homesteading journal editor, not “A criminal even more dangerous than any on the federal top ten list.”

But apparently …

We don’t learn.

Prove me wrong.

Living in a constant
Overwhelming state of fear?
That’s completely, perfectly
A-OK with us, my dear!

Not only don’t we ever
Plan to nearly fairly pay you,
We’re complacently waiting
For that torturer to slay you

After all, we don’t need your
Reminders that it might be wrong
To constantly cower, cavail,
Just “go along to get along”
