When an issue’s put to bed
Be sure that you so clearly see
Take care not reawaken it
Vindictively

No revenge need taken be
For transgressions real, perceived,
Perpetrated, convulated,
Given or believed

Objectionable behaviors
Falling, at last, into line,
Look not to past misdemeanors —
Allow the future to become benign
