Gazing On Green Growing Things
When gazing on green growing things,
Our minds grow calm and hearts grow soft —
A breeze among them sweetly sings,
The spirit then is bourne aloft
Away from all the mundane strife
We give unnecessarily
To those who go with us through life
When we might simply loving be
Away from lines and corners, far
From artificiality,
From prejudice and war,
It healing is for us to be
