Name ye me aught suggested subject, and
Without a moment’s hesitation, I
Will shape a sonnet right to your command —
Would you this poet’s competency try?

First, I will slant the title, so to make
Of your request one worthy to address
In such a lofty form — professors take
Whole months to make of one a hopeless mess

Consigned clandestinely their trash cans to
Resolving ne’er attempt another one —
And I can have that sonnet read for you
In less than fifteen minutes, once begun

This sonnet — thought and pen — became alive
In less time even — it required but five!
